1. Remove the battery compartment
cover located on the bottom of the
balance.
2. Lift out the foam insert.
3. Connect a 9V Alkaline battery to the
battery connector.
4. Replace the foam insert and close
the battery compartment cover.

Plug the jack from the AC Adapter into
the receptacle located on the right side of
the balance. Plug the AC Adapter into a
convenient ac outlet.

Install the platform in the top of the bal-
ance as shown in the illustration.
CAUTION: CAUTION: CAUTION: CAUTION: CAUTION: Do not adjust “Down Stop”
screw located next to platform shaft hole.
Screw is factory adjusted.
Press tabs to remove

cover.
