Error Messages

Overweight Indicator or Calibration Error:

Overweight Indicator or Calibration Error: Load on platform ex-
ceeds the capacity of the balance, or balance is not properly cali-
brated.

Underweight Indicator:

Underweight Indicator: Platform may be off of balance. If error
occurs when platform is on balance, Zero Adjustment may be needed.
Refer to the Zero Adjustment section which follows.

Low Battery Indicator:

Low Battery Indicator: Replace battery or use the AC Adapter

TROUBLESHOOTING

SYMPTOM

Incorrect weight
reading.

Calibration procedure
does not work.

No display.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Balance is not
properly calibrated.

Linearity incorrect.

Incorrect calibration
weight(s) being used.

Zero setting may
have been disturbed.

Battery is dead.

AC Adapter not
plugged in or con-
nected to balance.

REMEDY

Recalibrate balance.

Perform linearity
calibration.

Recalibrate using
correct weight(s).

Perform zero adjust-
ment procedure.

Replace battery.

Connect AC Adapter.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

To keep the balance operating properly, keep the housing and platform clean. If
necessary, a cloth dampened with a mild detergent may be used. Keep calibration
weights in a safe dry place. Unplug the AC Adapter when not in use. For long term
storage, remove the battery.
