1.4 Front panel features
The front panel of the RS740-E7-RS24-EG have a simple yet stylish design that features
twenty-four (24) 3.5-inch Serial ATA HDD bays, two (2) USB 2.0 ports, Asset tag, steel pull
handles, and easy to access buttons and LEDs.
Refer to section 1.4.2 Front panel buttons and section 1.7.1 Front panel LEDs for the
button and LED descriptions.
1.4.1 Asset tag
The Asset tag is a durable plastic film that is located on the server's front panel that allows
you to log important information about the server such as an asset barcode or a serial
number. It is useful in inventory management and asset tracking purposes.
