Battery Logging App:
This application allows the operator to manually enter the battery manufacture dates and their
conductance (Mhos) values.
1. To enter the battery manufacture dates,
press the BATT softkey on the XM3 main
menu.
2. Next select the BATT CONFIG sub-menu.
3. Scroll the screen using the arrow keys until
BATT DATES appears at the top of the
screen.
4. Press the ENTR softkey. The APP card will
now take over control of the display and
show a list of installed batteries.
5. If the dates have never been entered, they
will appear blank as shown. Use the arrow
softkeys to select the appropriate battery.
6. To enter the manufacture date, press the
ENTR softkey. The following screen will
appear.
7. Use the up and down arrow softkeys to set
the month.
8. Press the ENTR softkey to select the year
adjustment.
9. Press the ENTR softkey when finished.
Note: The APP card will not allow a
manufactured date set to a time after the
current APP card date.
As a time saving feature, if battery dates have
never been entered into the APP card, it will
copy the entry for battery A1 to all batteries if A1
is done first.
When a battery date has been saved, the APP
card will create a battery log record recording
the date and time of the entry and the battery
manufactured date for this battery.
