Instructions for COAST HP2 Focusing Pen Light
BATTERY INSTALLATION: Turn the end cap where the power switch is located in a counter-clockwise direction to
remove the cap. Place one AAA battery into the light, positive end of the battery first. Replace the tail cap and turn it
clockwise to tighten it until it is fully closed. Remove batteries before storing flashlight during non-usage.
LIGHT OPERATION: To turn on the light, fully press the on/off switch and then release. To turn off the light, fully press
the on/off switch, and then release a second time. The switch will make a “clicking” sound when fully depressed. The
light can also be operated in “momentary” mode. Momentary mode is activated by partially depressing the on/off
switch (less pressure than required for a full click).
UNIVERSAL FOCUSING OPTIC with TWIST FOCUS: This flashlight is equipped with COAST’s Universal Focusing Optic with
Twist Focus that allows the user to choose between a broad flood beam and a focused spot beam for long distance
illumination. To adjust the beam into the spot mode, turn the front bezel of the light clockwise. To adjust the beam into
the broad, flood light mode, turn the front bezel of the light counter-clockwise.
MAINTENANCE: Wipe the external body with a damp cloth. Do not submerge.
WARRANTY POLICY: Coast Products guarantees this product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the
life of the original purchaser. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or
neglect. If this product is defective, return it to us for a repair or replacement, along with a check for $5.00 shipping and
handling. Guarantee does not include batteries.
