VARIABLE FEED_CONFIG

Function

This command is used to determine what the

printer should do when coming online both at power
up and after the print head has been closed. The

printer is able to feed to the next label, perform an
index calibration, measure the label length or take

no action.

Explicit Form

VARIABLE FEED_CONFIG P,D/?

Parameters

P

D

?

Action to be performed at power up
Action to be performed when the print
head is closed.
Returns the current setting status.
Possible values for P and D:

N – Take no action. This is the default
setting.

F – Feed to the next label.

C – Perform an index calibration.
L – Measure label length.

Comments

The power up action can be different than the head
close action, or it can be the same. When using this

command to perform an index calibration the
VARIABLE MEASURE_LABEL command should

also be used since it is possible for the labels to be

measured any time an index calibration is
performed.

When using this command, send it to the printer
with VARIABLE WRITE in a non-printing label

format. Do not use this command in stored label
formats.
