Please consider light positioning for the EYE-14 carefully.
Mounting the light too close to the unit will cause reflections,
mounting it too far away will cause shadows.

The illustration on the right shows the recommended position
of lighting for the EYE-14. The distance from the center of the
unit to the center of the light should be identical to the
MAXIMUM image size (e.g. vertical image size).

Example: When the maximum vertical size of the pick-up are
(wide) would be 100cm, then the recommended distance of
the light would be also 100cm away from the center of the
camera.

We recommend mounting the light like the position shown on
the right, because here shadows are not too disturbing when
pointing at certain details on a document.

Due to the automatic white balance of the unit, it is possible to
use any type of light. WolfVision recommends a diffused light
with more than 400 Lux and a homogeneity of less than 15%
on the working surface.

To minimize reflections, please use the optional inclined
working surface (see page 21).
