When working with the KINO-QM670, make sure that it is disconnected

from all power supplies and that no electricity is being fed into the system.

Before and during the installation of the KINO-QM670 DO NOT:

ƒ Remove any of the stickers on the PCB board. These stickers are required for

warranty validation.

ƒ Use the product before verifying all the cables and power connectors are

properly connected.

ƒ Allow screws to come in contact with the PCB circuit, connector pins, or its

components.

4.3 Unpacking

When the KINO-QM670 is unpacked, please check all the unpacking list items listed in

Chapter 3 are indeed present. If any of the unpacking list items are not available please

contact the KINO-QM670 vendor reseller/vendor where the KINO-QM670 was purchased

or contact an IEI sales representative.

4.4 CPU, CPU Cooling Kit and SO-DIMM Installation

WARNING:

A CPU should never be turned on without the specified cooling kit

being installed. If the cooling kit (heat sink and fan) is not properly

installed and the system turned on, permanent damage to the CPU,

KINO-QM670 and other electronic components attached to the system

may be incurred. Running a CPU without a cooling kit may also result

in injury to the user.

The CPU, CPU cooling kit and DIMM are the most critical components of the

KINO-QM670. If one of these component is not installed the KINO-QM670 cannot run.
