ERASING (CD-RW ONLY)

All Tracks Erasing (takes approximately 3
minutes for a finalized CD-RW)

Load a CD-RW disc which has been recorded on.

Press the ERASE button twice (once to start TOC
Erasing on a finalized CD-RW disc).

÷ “ALL”, “TRACK” and “ERASE?” are displayed repeatedly.

÷ The function indicator blinks orange indicating that the

recorder is in All Tracks Erasing standby mode.

÷ Do not allow more than 8 seconds to elapse after step 2 has

been performed before proceeding with step 3.

Press the

8 button to start the All Tracks Erasing.

÷ The function indicator lights orange and All Tracks Erasing

starts.

÷ During All Tracks Erasing of a CD-RW disc that has not be

finalized, “ALL”, “TRACK” and “ERASE” blink successively.

÷ During All Tracks Erasing of a finalized CD-RW disc, “ERS*:**”

is displayed with the remaining time.

÷ All Tracks Erasing is completed in several seconds for a CD-

RW which has not been finalized.

÷ You can stop the erase process by pressing the 7 button for

10 seconds. However, if the erase operation is stopped, the
message “CHECK” “DISC” appears to indicate that the disc
has not been normally erased.

The recorder stops when All Tracks Erasing is
completed.

All Disc Erasing (requires recordable time
plus 5 minutes)

Load a CD-RW disc which has been recorded
on.

Press and hold the ERASE button for about 4
seconds.

÷ The display panel displays “ALL”, “DISC”, “ERASE?” and

“dE **:**” successively. Then the function indicator blinks
orange indicating that the recorder is in the All Disc Erasing
standby mode.

Press the

8 button to start the All Disc Erasing.

÷ The function indicator lights in orange and All Disc Erasing

starts.

÷ During All Disc Erasing, “dE **:**” appears while the

remaining time is displayed.

÷ You can stop the erase process by pressing the 7 button for

10 seconds. However, if the erase operation is stopped, the
message “CHECK” “DISC” appears to indicate that the disc
has not been normally erased.
