Table 25 Pair Status and Operation after Recovery of the Primary Site
Perform this operation before transferring business tasks back
to the Primary Site Invalid Pair Status
1. Make sure that the status of the pair in the primary site is
Suspend.
2. Release the Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair from the
primary site.
3. Make sure that all the pairs belonging to the journal group
in the primary site are released.
4. Create a Universal Replicator for Mainframe delta resync
pair that extends from the primary site to the Universal
Replicator for Mainframe secondary site.*

Hold
1. Release the Universal Replicator for Mainframe pair from the
primary site.
2. Make sure that all the pairs belonging to the journal group
in the primary site are released.
3. Create a Universal Replicator for Mainframe delta resync
pair that extends from the primary site to the Universal
Replicator for Mainframe secondary site.*
Primary site: Duplex

Hold
Change the status of the Hlde pair back to Hold. For more

“Restoring a Pair of Data Volumes” (page 206) .

for Mainframe secondary site.
