Positioning the cursor at a specific line in a sorted field

To position the cursor at a specific line in a sorted field, use the Locate Options panel to specify the
search string, and then press Enter.

Prerequisites

Data in the field in which the cursor is to be positioned has been sorted.

Procedure

1.

Enter LOCATE in the command line of the ISPF panel, and then press Enter.

The Locate Options panel appears.

2.

Specify the search string.

The following is an example specification. The displayed items vary depending on the panel that
called this panel.

3.

Press Enter.

The cursor is positioned at a line containing the specified search string.

To set or cancel an action in multiple AC fields in a list panel, use the Select Options panel to specify
the target field, the condition character string for the field, and the action, and then press Enter.
