6 CLI commands
This chapter describes the command functions that can be used in the Smart Manager for Mainframe
CLI.
List of CLI Commands
The CLI commands provided by Smart Manager for Mainframe are categorized into the following
command types.
• REXX external routines
• TSO/E commands
• OS console commands
The following tables describe each of the CLI command types.
Table 11 REXX external routines
Description Command name
Applies the tiering policy for a tiering policy group. KTACTTPG
Changes the tiering policy of the specified volume back to the default. KTDCTDEV
Changes the tiering policy of a tiering policy group back to the default. KTDCTTPG
Loads the disk configuration definition file to the REXX variable structure. KTGETHDA
Reads the tiering policy information CSV file and the disk configuration definition file,
and then defines a tiering policy group (creates a tiering policy group definition file).
KTIMPORT
• Loads the tiering policy group definition file to the REXX variable structure.
• Loads the disk configuration definition file to the REXX variable structure.
KTLOAD
Acquires information about the tiering policy for the specified volume and information
about the pool to which the volume belongs, and then stores the information in the REXX
variable.
KTQRYDEV
Acquires information such as the progress of page tier relocation for each Smart Tiers
Z pool to which the tiering policy group belongs from the storage system, and then
stores the information in the REXX variable structure.
KTQRYRLC
Acquires tiering policy information and page tier location status for a tiering policy
group from the storage system, and then stores the information in the REXX variable
structure.
KTQRYTPG
Acquires I/O performance information for a tiering policy group from the storage system,
and then stores the information in the REXX variable structure.
