Manage memory
The HP Color LaserJet CP3505 Series printers have one dual inline memory module (DIMM) slot that
supports up to 1 GB RAM. Use the DIMM slot to upgrade the printer with the following items:

More printer memory: DIMMs are available in 128, 256, 512 MB, and 1GB DDR 2
●
Other DIMM-based printer languages and printer options
NOTE:
Single in-line memory modules (SIMMs) used on previous HP LaserJet printers are not
compatible with the printer.

You might want to add more memory to the printer if you often print complex graphics or PostScript
documents, or if you use many downloaded fonts. Additional memory also allows the printer to print
multiple collated copies at the maximum speed.

Install memory DIMMs
You can install more memory for the printer, and you can also install a font DIMM to allow the printer to
print characters for languages such as Chinese or the Cyrillic alphabet.
CAUTION:
Static electricity can damage DIMMs. When handling DIMMs, either wear an antistatic
wrist strap, or frequently touch the surface of the DIMM antistatic package and then touch bare metal
on the printer.

Turn the printer off, and then disconnect all power and interface cables.
