Description

RAM DISK

AUTO

OFF

Determines how the RAM disk feature is configured. Select
AUTO to allow the printer to determine the optimal RAM disk
size based on the amount of available memory. OFF
disables the RAM disk, but a minimal RAM disk is still
available. The default is AUTO.

LANGUAGE

A list of available languages
appears.

Sets the default control-panel language.

I/O TIMEOUT

5–300

Selects the I/O timeout in seconds.

PAGE BUFFERING

OFF

ON

Sets whether the printer should maximize performance or
minimize engine wear while waiting for information to be
transferred. Select ON if the printer uses USB or Ethernet
10Base-T. The default is OFF.

EMBEDDED JETDIRECT

Possible values are:

TCP/IP

IPX/SPX

APPLETALK

DLC/LLC

SECURE WEB

DIAGNOSTICS

RESET SECURITY

LINK SPEED

Configures the HP Jetdirect embedded print server.

EIO 1 JETDIRECT

Values vary, depending
on the product in the EIO
slot.

Resets sub-menu

Use the RESETS menu to reset factory settings and to disable and enable sleep mode.

RESTORE FACTORY
SETTINGS

None

Clears the page buffer, removes all perishable personality data, resets the
printing environment, and returns all default settings to factory defaults. This
menu does not restore HP Jetdirect network settings to factory default values.

SLEEP MODE

OFF

Enables and disables sleep mode. The default is ON.
