Enabling or disabling multi-initiator mode
Multi-initiator mode controls whether more than one server device bay can be assigned the same
zone group.
•
Disabled—(Default) Used when only zoned SAS storage enclosures are connected to the
switch. When this option is selected, a zone group can be assigned to only one server device
bay.
•
Enabled—Used when shared SAS storage enclosures or tape autoloader/libraries are
connected to the switch. When this option is selected, a zone group can be assigned to
multiple server device bays.

Example 1: This example shows how to enable multi-initiator mode:
=> sw local startupdate

=> sw local advance multi=on

Example 2: This example shows how to disable multi-initiator mode:
