7.6 Recalling
Events
The event log records the date and time of various events:
• On power-up, the system records an event in the event log,
• If activity detection has been enabled and activity occurs
• If external alarm inputs are being used
• If a system alert occurs (e.g. disc full)
When playing back from hard disc, events may be viewed as followed:

To view the event log, press the
EVENTS key

You may scroll through the list using the up and down cursor keys. The first image of the
event will be displayed on the screen.

The list has a number of pages that may be accessed by using the left and right cursor keys
If you wish to play back images from the date and time of
the selected event* press one of the
PLAY keys.

To exit without replaying an event, press the event key
*If the selected event is too old and has therefore been over-written on the hard drive(s), it will not be
possible to re-play it.
7.7
Stepping through Events
When playing back from hard disc, you can also step through events without entering the event screen by
means of the dedicated event keys. On stepping forwards or backwards to an event, the event will start to
play (forwards). This provides an easy way to review each recorded event in turn. When you have seen what
you need, press
or
to move on to the next one, or press
(pause) to freeze the replay
image.

Replaying Incidents
If incidents have been set on the hard drive or if a CD is being re-played, you may go straight to the start of
or end of any of the incident.
