Digital technology provides superior clarity in extended coverage.

As RF signal strength weakens with distance, analog reception
becomes increasingly noisy and intermittent. dPMR's low BER
improves reception in fringe areas, thereby “effectively” increasing
coverage as much as twenty percent over analog.
