6. Select Submit Changes to save your changes. To activate your
changes, select Save/Discard Changes from the menu bar then Save
Changes and Reboot. For help, see Saving Configuration Changes
on page 41.
Configuring the
Access Point as
a DHCP Client
You can use a DHCP server to automatically assign an IP address and
other TCP/IP settings to your access point; that is, the access point can
act as a DHCP client.
Note
You cannot configure the access point as both a DHCP server and a
DHCP client.
Note
If you are using the Embedded Authentication Server feature, do
not configure the access point as a DHCP client.
To configure the access point as a DHCP client
1. From the Main Menu, select TCP/IP Settings. The TCP/IP Settings
screen appears.
2. In the DHCP Mode field, choose either Always Use DHCP or Use
DHCP if IP Address is Zero. If you choose Use DHCP if IP Address is
Zero, make sure that the IP Address field is 0.0.0.0.
