Rebooting a Switch
To reset a switch while preserving the switch configuration, perform the
following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, type 4 to select Administrator Menu.
2. From the Administrator Menu, type B to select Reboot the switch.
The following prompt is displayed:
The switch is about to reboot. Do you want to
proceed? [Yes/No] ->
3. Type Y to reset the switch or N to cancel this procedure.
If you type Y, the following is displayed:
Rebooting the Switch...
.
.
.
Init Done!
4. Press the Return key.
The switch reloads its operating system, a task requiring a few
minutes to complete.
Caution
The switch does not forward traffic during the brief period required
to reload its operating software. Some data traffic may be lost.
