Connecting to a PC’s Audio

The MicDock can be connected to the PC to extend media functions to the GroupSTATION. This includes
extending the Audio Playback and Record associated with the PC to the GroupSTATION via USB. This is
accomplished by selecting the GroupSTATION as the USB Playback and Record device in Windows Sound
Properties or from within the soft client (Lync, WebEx, Skype, etc.). Go to the control panel/sound/playback and
select Vaddio STATION as the default Playback device.

The GroupSTATION supports HDMI audio and can be selected, alternatively as the default audio playback
source. The HDMI audio will be depicted as a Vaddio STATION Monitor within the sound configuration. The
sound will still be processed the same way as the selection of the speaker but offers a second audio input with
another PC or a tablet with HDMI audio.

NOTE: On the playback and
recording tabs, the
GroupSTATION is referred to
as the ‘Vaddio STATION’.

This is primarily due to the
products that will be
introduced in 2014 that will
use the same fundamental
software (i.e. HuddleSTATION
etc…).
