When the image is too bright

The flash mode is set to the Fill-in
Flash mode.

Close the lens barrier to restore the Auto-Flash
mode, or select the Fill-In Flash mode

illuminated.

Correct the exposure or shoot the subject from a
different angle or point the camera in a different
direction and lock the exposure.

You blocked the flash with your
finger, etc.

Hold the camera correctly, taking care not to
cover the flash surface

flash.

Shoot the subject from a distance of less than

Set the flash mode to the Fill-in Flash mode.
