Switch Settings
Password
If you have forgotten your registered password, you can clear it by starting the
server while the jumper switch on the system board is set to “Password clear” as
shown in the table below.
The illustration at the end Appendix A shows the physical location of the
jumper.
Hardware setup information
To forcibly return the hardware setup information to the default settings:
1 Start the server while the jumper switch on the system board is set to the
“Hardware setup clear” position as shown in the table below.
This message appears on the screen when the hardware setup information
clears:
2 Switch off the server and set the jumper switch back to the standard position.

5-6 Protect Standard (default)
J6J1: 2-3 Clear Hardware setup clear
1-2 Protect Standard (default)
