The current mode will be maintained and restored the next time the
computer is switched on or is restarted from either Standby Mode or
Hibernation Mode.
Restrictions in the Monitor-in mode
■
Disable the Windows’ Monitor Auto Off feature (this will override the
Monitor-in mode).
■
If the Monitor Auto Off is on, the LCD displays nothing even when you
click the Monitor-in button to switch to the Monitor-in mode.
■
During the Monitor-in mode, any Windows messages will not be
displayed. Disable the Monitor-in mode to see Windows messages.
■
When the mode is switched to Monitor-in mode, the aspect ratio (the
ratio of length to width of the screen) is set to 4:3. When you press the
CD/DVD button, the ratio will switch to 16:9. When pressed again, it will
return to 4:3.
The Qosmio Engine is available only for the LCD and has the following
restrictions.
■
Qosmio does not support LCD/CRT, CRT, TV, LCD/TV and Multi-
Monitor.
■
Depending on the video being played, noise may be present:
■
When DVD is played with WinDVD.
■
When DVD is played with QosmioPlayer.
■
When AV Input is performed while Windows is running. (The
Monitor Mode control button allows for toggling between Windows
and AV Input modes).
■
When AV Input is performed while QosmioPlayer is running. (The
Monitor Mode control button allows for toggling between
QosmioPlayer and AV Input modes).
■
External display output (CRT/S-Video out) is not supported.
■
Text information is displayed at a lower quality while video is being
played with WinDVD or Software for TV. The Qosmio Engine provides
a clear display for video images but reduces the quality when it
required to render static data such as captions on the screen.
■
Any signal noise contained in original video images may increase
when playing these images with WinDVD, Software for TV and/or
QosmioPlayer. This is due to the fact that the Qosmio engine enhances
not only video images themselves but also any noises assosciated
with them.
