Access Point Configuration Utility

Problem

Correction

When the Access Point Configuration Utility starts,

the message "Loading of the library required for

communication with access point failed" is

displayed.

·

The utility may be incorrectly installed. Reinstall the

utility.

When the Access Point Configuration Utility starts,

the message "The access point is disabled. The

changes are applied when the access point is

enabled next" is displayed.

·

Check whether the driver is normally operating on

the server (access point).

When the network is connected from a remote PC

with the Access Point Configuration Utility, the

message "Communication with the access point

failed" is displayed.

·

Check whether the specified computer name is

correct.

·

By using the ping command, check whether the

network is disconnected.

·

The SNMP Extension Agent needs to be operating

on the server (access point). Check whether the

SNMP Extension Agent is correctly installed.

·

Check whether the driver is normally operating on

the server (access point).

When the network is connected from a remote PC

with the Access Point Configuration Utility, the

message "Acquisition of property values failed" is

displayed.

Check whether the specified community name is

correct.

·

The access point may be busy. Wait a while and

reexecute the utility.

The Access Point Configuration Utility displays the

message "Reading of settings failed."

reexecute the utility.

By using the ping command, check whether the

Point Configuration Utility, the message "Writing of

settings failed."

must be connected with a community name with

writing authority. Check whether the specified

community name is correct, and the authority is

correctly set up.

Please check if you try to change the access point

settings from a wireless-LAN station which has

association with the access point. The above usage

is out of specification.
