- The Philips AVENT massage cushion for larger
nipples is designed to feel soft and warm and
imitates your baby’s sucking action to provide a
fast milk flow - comfortably and gently.
- Use the massage cushion for larger nipples if
the standard massage cushion provided with
the breast pump does not fit properly (Fig. 1).
- Only use the massage cushion for larger
nipples with Philips AVENT breast pump types
SCF330, SCF332 and SCF334.
Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the
massage cushion for larger nipples and save it for
future reference.
Warning
- This massage cushion is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the product by a person
responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the massage cushion.
- Inspect the massage cushion for signs of
damage before each use. Do not use the
massage cushion if it is damaged.
- Do not expose the massage cushion to
extreme heat and do not place it in direct
sunlight.
Caution
- The massage cushion is only intended for
repeated use by a single user.
- Never drop or insert any foreign object into
the opening in the massage cushion.
- Never use any accessories or parts from other
manufacturers or that Philips AVENT does
not specifically recommend. If you use such
accessories or parts, your guarantee becomes
invalid.
- Wash, rinse and sterilise the massage cushion
before each use.
- Do not use antibacterial or abrasive cleaning
agents when you clean the massage cushion.
Preparing for use
Cleaning and sterilising
Clean and sterilise the massage cushion before first
use as described in chapter ‘Cleaning and sterilising’.
Clean the massage cushion after each subsequent
use and sterilise it before each subsequent use.
Assembling the massage cushion in the
Philips AVENT breast pump
Note: Make sure that all parts of the breast pump
have been cleaned, sterilised and assembled as
described in the user manual of your Philips AVENT
breast pump. Wash your hands thoroughly before you
handle the cleaned parts.
1 Place the massage cushion for larger nipples
into the funnel-shaped section of the pump
body. Push in the inner part of the massage
cushion as far as possible and make sure that
it is perfectly sealed all around the rim of the
pump body. Press in between the petals to
remove any trapped air (Fig. 2).
Cleaning and sterilising
Clean and sterilise the massage cushion before
first use. Clean the massage cushion after each
subsequent use and sterilise it before each
subsequent use.
1 Clean the massage cushion in hot water
with some washing-up liquid and then rinse
it thoroughly. You can also clean the massage
cushion in the dishwasher (on the top rack
only).
2 Sterilise the massage cushion in a Philips
AVENT steam steriliser or by boiling it for 5
minutes.
Storage
Keep the massage cushion out of direct sunlight as
prolonged exposure may cause discolouration.
1 Store the massage cushion in a safe and dry
place.
