4DK Series Pumps
KPS SHIFT CAP and SWITCH
See Figure 12: "KPS Shift Cap Assembly."
Removal
1. Disconnect control connection.
2. Remove 1/8"NPT air vent.
3. Unscrew the 1/2-20 x 1/2" setscrew, then
remove detent spring and ball.
4. Remove switch by unscrewing two #10-32
x 1/2" screws. Remove switch, gasket,
detent ball, and bracket from the cap. (See
Figure 13: "Shift Switch Detail.")
5. Remove two 7/16-14 x 1" cap screws and
the gearshift shaft cap (not shown).
6. Remove the gasket from the mating sur-
face of the gearbox.
Installation
See Figure 13: "KPS Shift Cap Assembly."
1. Apply a light coating of general-purpose
grease to hold gasket in place, then place
gasket on gearbox.
