8. Measure the gap under the cover using
feeler gauges. Install shims as necessary
to obtain 0.002" to 0.004" (0.051-0.101mm)
of axial shaft float. Shaft should rotate
smoothly and freely.
❑ two pieces – 0.005" (0.13mm) BLUE
❑ two pieces – 0.0075" (0.19mm) CLEAR
❑ two pieces – 0.020" (0.51mm) YELLOW
