Important: Always read and follow the operating instructions.

500. Mounting PAX
Tire Assembly

Read and understand the
complete portion of the
mounting process prior too
servicing your first tire. This
will help prevent damage to
the tire and wheel.

Refer to the line drawing dia-
gram (page 5) often to under-
stand the sequence of
servicing.

501. First, position the PAX rim

on the riser device with the small
diameter up.

502. Install the center shaft into

the riser and twist clockwise to
lock in.

503. Select the correct cone to

center the wheel and then place
the retaining nut on to the shaft.

504. You may want to use a

cheater bar to assure the nut is
tight (50 foot pounds torque)
because the roller mounting sys-
tem will apply significant force to
the edge of the rim to mount the
tire.

505. If the tire pressure valve

sensor was removed, this should
be reinstalled with new gaskets.
Torque the retainer nut per the
manufacturer’s specification.

506. Inspect the tire for any

damage paying close attention to
the beads. Inspect the wheel
closely for damage. Clean the
wheel and remove any light corro-
sion or rubber. Verify size match
between tire and wheel. Do not
attempt to service a heavily cor-
roded wheel.

507. Verify that the support ring

retention clips are near the outside
(small bead diameter side) of the
tire to intersect with the rim
groove.
