Lift Cutting Head off block and posi-
tion spring so that it catches bolt on
Cutting Head and holder on post.

Check Belt tension by pressing on Belt
with one finger midspan between the
Pulleys. Belt should deflect 1/8”-1/4”
under medium pressure with one finger.

Once tension is correct, replace outer
Belt Guard.

Position Spring on Post.

Push Cutting Head down and position
Cutting Head Locking Arm.
NOTICE
Damage may occur to the Belts or Blade Shaft Bearings if the Belts are overtensioned. Belts that are too
loose will slip resulting in a loss of power transference. Belt should deflect 1/8”-1/4” under medium pres-
sure with one finger. Also, ensure that the Belts and Pulleys are aligned parallel relative to a steel straight
edge held against the outside of the Blade Shaft Pulley.
• NEVER make adjustments to belts or pulleys while the motor is plugged into a power
source or is operating.
