3. Safety
The following information about safety is of great importance.
These instructions for use have been drawn up with great care. If you have a made-to-mea-
sure model of this machine for which additional information is necessary, it is the responsi-
bility of the user of the machine to contact

3.1.General safety instructions
The SULKY RS centrifugal spreader is built in accordance with the most up-to-date tech-
niques and its operation is safe. However, hazards can result from use of the equipment:
- if there is non-compliant handling by untrained personnel
- in the event of non-compliant use
- if there is non-adherence to the recommendations mentioned in these operating
and maintenance instructions.
We expressly draw your attention to the following points:
- Observe the instructions and safety instructions (e.g. instructions for the
prevention of accidents, Road Traffic Act, etc.) to ensure the safety and in-
cident-free operation of this spreading equipment.
- These instructions for use contain important recommendations for com-
pletely safe operation of the spreader. Anyone working on or with the
spreader must adhere to them.
- The user of the spreader agrees only to allow people to work with it who
have:
* familiarised themselves with the basic instructions for safety at work and
accident prevention, who are trained in handling spreaders’, and
* who have read and understood the safety chapter and the warnings in
the safety instructions.
