In addition, we expressly draw your attention to the following points:

- Before starting work, anyone responsible for work on and with the

spreader agrees to:
* observe the basic instructions for safety at work and accident preven-

tion

* have read and understood the safety chapter and the warnings in the

safety instructions.

- The equipment must be compliant with the provisions of the Road Traf-

fic Act and the Road Traffic Type Approval Law (e.g. lighting, warning
notices, etc.) as soon as it is used on a public thoroughfare.

Even tractors with equipment, which are not used on a public tho-
roughfare, are subject to the provisions concerning weights and axle
loads.

3.2.Safety at work

- Before using, ensure that the attaching parts are correctly positioned,

especially those for the projection discs and blades.

- The spreader should only be filled with the product to be spread when

the towing vehicle engine is turned off, the ignition key removed and
the applicator chutes are closed.

- Before adjustment or other work (e.g. lubricating or cleaning the sprea-

der) deactivate the power take-off, turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key. Wait until all the rotating parts have stopped completely.

- Never place hands, feet or clothing in the vicinity of moving parts.

Avoid wearing loose clothing. Do not place your hands in the spreader
– Rotating tools!

- Do not put foreign bodies in the spreader reservoir.

- Before activation and during use of the spreader, the user must ensure

there is no-one in the hazardous area around the spreader. Ensure
there is sufficient visibility!
