3-4 Entering New Messages
Selecting the USE BOTH option will automatically display the message on
both lines of the display as a line mode message. A multi-line message will
display with the first line of the message on the first line of the display. The
next line of the message is displayed on the second line of the display. If the
message is longer than the number of lines of the display, the DL5 will wait
for the “wait time,” and then show the remaining lines of the message.
The USE LINE 1 option displays the message only on the first (top) line of
the display. Any messages present on the second line (if any) will remain
intact.
The USE LINE 2 option displays the message only on the second line of the
display. Any messages present on the first line of the display (if any) will
remain intact.
The USE LEAST option displays the message on the least recently used line
(oldest line of information). Any messages present on the other line of the
display (if any) will remain intact.
