To set up write access for Power Users
1. In Windows Explorer, right-click the HMI Projects folder, and then select Properties.
2. In the Security tab, select Power Users from the list of group or user names.
3. In the Permissions list under the list of names, beside Full Control, select the Allow
check box.
Opening the Samples Water application
To familiarize yourself with the FactoryTalk View Studio development environment, you
can open the Samples Water application that is installed with FactoryTalk View SE.
To open the Samples application
1. Start FactoryTalk View Studio, click View Site Edition (Network Distributed), and
then click Continue.
2. In the Existing tab, click Samples Water, select an application language, and then
click Open.
The default path for the HMI Projects folder is:
 C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE
 (Windows XP or Windows Server 2003) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ Shared
