Fertilizer Drill Hoses
Refer to Figure 13
52. If fertilizer delivery hoses
were disconnected, re-
connected them now. As needed, one or two hoses
may be routed through the jackshaft bracket.
Install Chain Guard
Refer to Figure 14
53. Select one each new:
123-424D EWNT SGS FORMED SHIELD
800-120C NUT CLIP U-TYPE 5/16-18
803-008C NUT HEX 5/16-18 PLT
two sets new:
802-159C HHCS 5/16-18X1 GR5
804-009C WASHER LOCK SPRING 5/16 PLT
and three new:
804-036C WASHER FLAT 5/16 SAE PLT
54. Place the U-clip nut over the hole at the top rear
of the inside plate of the jackshaft bracket . Ori-
ent the integrated nut to the right of the bracket.
55. Place a flat washer on a bolt and insert it,
from inside the Small Seeds box , through the ver-
tical slotted hole on the left end wall. Loosely secure
the top end of the guard
with another flat
washer , lock washer and nut .
56. Place a lock washer and flat washer on a
bolt and insert it, from drill left, through the
lower horizontal slot on the guard . Loosely
secure with the U-clip nut .
57. Snug the guard forward against the main seed box
and torque both bolts to specification.
