68. Repeat step 61 through step 67 for the right drill
section.
Align Jackshafts
Start with the left drill section.
Refer to Figure 21, which depicts drill center section
69. Slide the left end of the jackshaft
into the input
bearing of the Small Seeds drive. Move the shaft
left until travel is stopped at the far end of the shaft
by the roll pin reaching the new bearing in the clutch
plate.
Refer to Figure 22. Striped arrows show chain direction.
70. At the clutch plate, slide the jackshaft input sprocket
and washers left, until they reach the new
bearing.
71. Select one each new:
805-180C PIN ROLL 1/4 X 1 1/2 LG PLT
Drive the roll pin into the shaft just to the right of
the sprocket .
72. Select one new:
136-064D CHAIN RL #40 51 PITCHES
Install chain from clutch output above, behind
idler
, to jackshaft input sprocket . Orient
chain clip per Figure 38 on page 28. Tighten idler
when longest span of chain has
1 ⁄
4
inch (6 mm)
slack.
73. Repeat step 69 through step 72 for the center and
right drill sections.
74. Skip to step 93 (step 75 through step 92 are for
drills with Fertilizer).
