Refer to Figure 28, which depicts the fertilizer drive weldment
elevated and without fertilizer drive components.
78. Select one new:
133-324K SML SDS ON FERT JS MNT ASY
Position the Small Seeds drive over the Fertilizer
drive
, and align the mounting holes.
79. Select the 2 or 3 sets of saved fasteners from
step 77. Re-install them.
80. For the left drill section only, select one set new of:
802-034C HHCS 1/2-13X1 1/4 GR5
804-113C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS HARD PLT
804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
Install these at the left rear mounting hole of the
Small Seeds drive.
Refer to Figure 29
which depicts a 3S-4000 drill center section
81. Slide the left end of the jackshaft into the input
bearing of the Fertilizer and Small Seeds drive.
Move the shaft left until travel is stopped at the far
end of the shaft by the roll pin reaching the bearing
in the clutch bearing plate.
82. Select the saved:
808-143C SPKT 40B12 7/8 HEX BORE W/SS
Orient the set screw hub to the left, and place the
sprocket
back on the jackshaft . Align it with
the Fertilizer drive sprocket it drives and tighten the
set screws. Re-mount the chain.
83. Retighten idlers in Fertilizer drive assembly.
