Pin Coupler
Start with the left wing.
Refer to Figure 38
104. Slide the coupler left, until the coupler pin hole
aligns with the LH meter shaft pin hole.
105. Select one new:
805-023C PIN ROLL 3/16X1 1/4 PLT
Drive the pin into the coupler, securing it to the LH
shaft.
Note: Do not tighten set screws at this time.
Synchronize Meters
All meters must be at 50% flute engagement prior to
connecting drive shafts. Box assemblies with rate
handles are normally set to 50% at the factory, but need
to be checked.
Check/Set RH Meters at 50%
Refer to Figure 39 and Figure 40
106. On the RH box, check that the rate handle is set to
50 on the 0-100 scale , and that the wing nut is
tight. Verify by meter cup inspection that feed
regions
are showing 50% filler (left) and 50%
flutes (right).
Adjust LH Shaft to 50%
Refer to Figure 40 and Figure 38
107. Move the LH shaft left or right until the LH small
seed meter feed regions are at 50%.
Note: If the shaft cannot be moved far enough right to
obtain 50%, loosen the mounting bolts for the
boxes, or the mounts, and move them apart to
obtain additional slack.
Secure Coupler
Refer to Figure 38
108. Tighten the set screws at the coupler .
Repeat step 104 through step 108 for the center and
right sections
