Install 8315-8321 Wings
Note: To install wings, it would be best to have the wing
frames 180 degrees in relation to the center frame.
Installing wing frames with the 90 degree relation
to center can be difficult. If wings are installed 90
degrees to center, be sure to install the lift cylin-
ders and hoses with black handles (as shown on
page14-18) to raise center frame so the tire does
not interfere with unfolding the wing.
28. Carefully align holes in wing frame LH with holes
in center frame. Secure with 1 x 7, Gr. 8 hex bolt
and 1 nylon lock nut.
Note: Be sure and install the 1 x 6 hex bolts as shown
with arrows with head against plate on side of
hinge.
29. Attach wing brace LH to wing frame LH with 3/4
x 2 hex bolts , 3/4 lock washers and 3/4 hex nuts.
• Install 1 x 7, Gr. 8 hex bolts and 1 nylon lock nuts
through hinge in center wing brace.
30. Align holes in wheel arm L , secure with 1 1/4 x 6
pin , 3/8 x 2 1/4 Gr. hex bolts and 3/8 top lock
nuts.
Note: Model 8321 wing wheel arms mounted on oppo-
site sides.
31. Align hole in 8-bolt spindle assembly , secure with
5/16 x 4, Gr. 8 hex bolt 5/16 lock washer and 5/16
hex nut.
32. Attach tire/wheel assembly with 5/8 lug nuts .
33. Attach 1 1/4 x 9 1/2 eye bolt , secure with 1 1/4
jam nut (one on each side plate).
34. Mount 3.25 x 8 x 1.25 cylinder to eye bolt and
wheel arm L with 1 x 3 1/8 pins , 1.5 x 1.0 x.075
machine washers and 3/16 x 2 cotter pins.
35. Mount rocker bracket to wing plate with 3/4 x 3
hex bolts ( , 3/4 lock washers and 3/4 hex nuts.
36. Attach one end of rocker to rocker bracket
using 1 x 3 3/8 pin , 1.5 x 1.0 x.075 machine
washer and 3/16 x 2 cotter pin.
37. Repeat same procedure for right wing.
38. Attach 4 x 36 x 1.5 cylinders with 1 x 3 1/8 pins
, 1.5 x 1.0 x.075 machine washers and 3/16 x 2
cotter pins.
39. See “Install Hydraulic Valves” on page 18 for
proper fitting assembly.
40. Attach valve plate to front tube of center wing
brace with 1/2 x 3 1/32 x 5 u-bolt , 1/2 lock wash-
ers and 1/2 nuts.
41. Attach lock valve to valve plate with 1/4 x 1 1/4
x 2 u-bolts , 1/4 lock washers and 1/4 nuts.
42. Tighten all bolts to specs, See “Torque Values
Chart” on page 37.
