Walkboard and Ladder

Walkboard pin and pivot operation is covered on
page 39.

Refer to Figure 32
The bottom two steps

of the walkboard ladder is a

swing-down section. To release it, pull the spring-loaded
pin

forward and pull the top of the free end of the lad-

der back.

To re-stow the steps, merely swing them up and forward.
The spring-load pin automatically engages.

Machine Damage Risk:
Ladder steps must be locked up before lowering planter or
machine damage will occur.

Two tools are in mounts on the bottom of the walkboard:

meter clean-out funnel

It is easier to remove and replace these tools with the
planter lowered.

The wrench end fits the nut weldment of the spring force
cam (page 67).

The funnel is used for meter clean-out (page 97).

As necessary for auger clearance, open walkboard top
railing. At each side, pull cross-pins

out and make

turn. Release pin into shallow detents. Swing railing

toward hopper.
