How to Display Other Vessels

Icon Filters

Select which targets to display.

Extension Lines

Sets the length of the extension lines for your

vessel and for other vessels.
Heading information is read from active

heading sensor, and COG information is as

received from an active positioning system.
The length of the extension line is either a

set distance e.g. 1 mile, OR the distance the

vessel will move in the selected time period.

COG

HEADING

COG (Course Over Ground) - Dark Red Line
HEADING - Blue Line

Speed & Course

Selects how to use the extension line to

indicate speed and course for targets; either

as true motion in the chart or relative to your

vessel.

AIS Icon Orientation

Sets the orientation of the AIS icon; either

based on heading or COG information.

Receiving MMSI Messages

You need to have your own MMSI number entered in the Zeus

system to be able to receive addressed messages from AIS and

DSC vessels. this prevents your own vessel from being displayed

as a dangerous AIS target, if fitted with an AIS transponder.

The Vessel message option in the alarm settings must be toggled

on if any MMSI message shall be displayed, refer to next page.
