Insert the four shoulder screws into the sides of the new media card reader and tighten them.

Align the shoulder screws with the screw guides in the mounting rack, and slide the media card reader into the bay until it clicks into place.

Attach the power and data cable to the media card reader and system board connector.

Replace the optical drive (see

7.
Check all cable connections, and fold cables out of the way to provide airflow for the fan and cooling vents.

Hard Drive
The OptiPlex 960 desktop chassis support either one or two 3.5-inch hard drives, or one or two 2.5-inch hard drives. If a single hard drive is installed, it may
be a 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drive. When installing a second hard drive, the hard drive being installed must be he same type (3.5-inch or 2.5-inch) as the
drive in the chassis.
