Removing the Power Supply Unit

 

1.

Follow the procedures in

Before You Begin

.


 

2.

Remove the computer cover (see

Removing the Computer Cover

).


 

3.

Remove the shield (see

Removing the Shield

).


 

4.

Remove the stand (see

Removing the Stand

).


 

5.

Disconnect the power plug cable from the power supply unit.

 

6.

Disconnect the power supply unit cable from the connector (ATX_POWER1) on the system board.

 

7.

Remove the four screws that secure the power supply unit to the chassis.


 

8.

Place the power supply unit in a secure location.

WARNING:

To guard against likelihood of electric shock, laceration by moving fan blades or other unexpected injuries, always unplug your

computer from the electrical outlet before removing the computer cover.

WARNING:

Ensure that the part number of the replacement power supply unit matches that of the current power supply unit.

CAUTION:

Do not perform the following steps unless you are familiar with hardware removal and replacement. Performing these steps
