Remove the two screws securing the hard drive to the left side of the drive cage.

 

6.

Slide the drive out of the slot away from the front of the computer.

 

7.

If removing this drive changes the drive configuration, then make changes to the system setup accordingly. When you restart your computer, enter
system setup (see

Entering System Setup

), then go to the "Drives" section of the system setup and under Drive 0 through 3, set the Drive to the

correct configuration.

Replacing or Adding a Hard Drive

 

1.

Follow the procedures in

Before Working on Your Computer

2.

Remove the computer cover (see

Removing the Computer Cover

).


 

3.

Check the documentation for the drive to verify that it is configured for your computer.

 

4.

Install and tighten two screws into the front-most and middle screw holes on the right side of the hard drive.

 

5.

Slide the hard drive into the hard drive bay, aligning the screws in the right side of the hard drive with the slot in the bay.

 

6.

Align the holes on the left side of the hard drive with the holes in the drive bay cage and install two screws to secure the hard drive in the bay.
