Getting Started
Hookups
The arrow mdicates signal flow.
DVD or LD player
Connect the DVD/LD player either to the LD DVD
COAXIAL IN or OPTICAL IN jack.
CD player
Receiver CD player

II your LD player has an RF output jack, connect it to the LD
DVD AC-3 RF IN jack of the receiver as shown below.

DBS tuners can be used with the USA, Canadian, and
Australian models.

Warning regarding the playback of DAT/MD sources
When playing DAT/MD sources through the receiver,
do not play a DAT/MD that contains digital recordings
made from a DVD player whose digital output was set
to "DOLBY DIGITAL." High volume will be output
whidt nuy danuige the receiver and your speakers.

• This receiver is compatible only with digital components
using 32, 44.1, or 48-kHz sampling frequencies and not
compatible with 96 kHz.
• Be sure to connect digital components (CD player, DAT /
MD deck, etc.) to the analog jacks as well as the digital
jacks in order to do analog recording.
