When I double-click an application icon a message appears, such as "You must insert
the application CD into your CD-ROM drive", and the software does not start

□ Some titles require specific files that are located on the application’s

CD-ROM disk. Insert the disk and tiy starting the program again.

□ Make sure you place the disk in the tray with the label side facing up.

My floppy disk drive cannot write to a floppy disk

□ The floppy disk is write-protected. Disable the write-protect feature

or use a floppy disk that is not write-protected.

□ Check that the floppy disk is properly inserted into floppy disk drive.

My software program "locks up" or crashes

Contact the software publisher or designated provider for technical

list of phone numbers.

My speakers have no sound

□ The built-in speakers are turned off. Press Fn-i-F3 to turn on the

speakers.

□ The speaker volume is turned to the minimum. Press Fn+F4, and

then press

t

or to increase the volume.

□ Jf your computer is powered by batteries, check that the battery packs

are inserted properly and that they are charged.

□ If you are using an application that has its own volume control, check

that the volume is turned up.

□ Check the volume controls in Windows 95.

□ If you connect external speakers, check that the speakers are properly

connected and the volume is turned up. If the speakers have a mute
button, make sure it is off. If the speakers are powered by batteries,
check that the batteries are inserted properly and that they are
charged.

□ If you have connected headphones or an audio cable to the

Headphone connector, disconnect the cable.

□ If the CD-ROM drive is in the docking station’s drive bay, you cannot

hear sound from your computer’s built-in speakers.
