Index Function
Locating an Index — Index Search
Locate an index by indicating how many index signals ahead or behind that program is from the cassette’s current position.
Here’s how:

DUAL MODE
SHUTTLE ring
Turn the DUAL MODE SHUTTLE ring clockwise
to locate an upcoming index signal or
counterclockwise for a prior index signal.
The cassette rewinds or advances to the next index.
Each time an index signal is detected, the index number
decreases. When the number reaches 0. your VCR will
begin to play.

Insert an indexed cassette into your VCR.

Press INDEX until the index number for the desired
program appears on your TV screen.
The VCR exits from the index mode, if you pass index
number 19.
