To reset the emergency stop, twist and lift the stop button (8). Power will immediately be reinstated, but the
pedestal will need re-initializing by the Vinten Radamec Control System (refer to the Vinten Radamec Control
System Operators Guide for further detail, Publication No. V4009-4980).

Collision detection

If the FP-145 pedestal collides with an obstacle when in robotic mode, sensors contained in the bumper strip
(13) immediately bring the pedestal to a halt. ‘Jog’ movement is still possible via the control panel to allow you
to manoeuvre around the obstacle.

External connections

All of the Fusion FP-145/FPH-145 pedestal’s main external ports are located centrally on a side face of the
base below the trim weight stowage slots (23). Additional system configuration ports are also located on the
opposite side of the base.

Power Sockets

External mains power is connected to the power input connector (17).

The pedestal also has two power output sockets (18) and (19). The head power output socket (18) supplies
power to a Fusion head (for more information please refer to the relevant Fusion Head Operators Guide). This
socket (18) is controlled by the pedestal, it is switched (21), fused and isolated on activation of the emergency
stop (8). The auxiliary power output socket (19) is protected by a system fuse, but is permanently live and in-
tended to supply ‘non moving’ auxiliary devices such as a monitor.

Ethernet ports

The ethernet cable connects to either of the two ethernet ports (16). The remaining ethernet port can be con-
nected via a short cable to the Fusion pan and tilt head if required. For more information please refer to the
appropriate Fusion Pan and Tilt Head Operators Guide.

USB configuration port

The USB port (6) is located beneath a protective cover on the side of the base between the two emergency
stop buttons (8). This port (6) allows external connection to pedestal configuration software tools. For more in-
formation refer to the Fusion FP-145/FPH-145 Pedestal Maintenance Manual (Publication Part No. V3952-
4991).

Servo configuration port

The servo configuration port (7) is located beneath a protective cover beside the USB configuration port (6),
and allows trained service engineers to configure servo motor settings.

WARNING! It is recommended to use a residual current device (RCD) to protect per-

sonnel should the power cable become damaged.

WARNING! 1. Do NOT plug ‘moving’ devices into the auxiliary port (19). This port can

not be switched off (21) at the pedestal, and is NOT affected by the emer-
gency stop (8).

2. Devices plugged into the auxiliary port (19) must have an independent
isolator switch.
