Preface
Thank you for buying the Fusion Pedestal from Vinten Radamec.
We want you to get the most from your new system, and therefore encourage you to read this operator’s guide
to familiarise yourself with the Fusion Pedestal’s many features.
Also included are the health and safety guidelines.
Features and benefits of your new Fusion Pedestal
The combination of established Vinten mechanical engineering designs with the very latest in machine control
technology provides you with the very forefront of solutions to the modern camera operator.
• The pedestal payload is rated to 75 kg (165.3 lb), with a maximum top plate height of 143 cm (56
in.), providing capacity for the Fusion head, a prompter and an additional preview monitor, with
an ENG style camera and lens.
• The Height only pedestal can be upgraded to a full X-Y pedestal in the field, providing all the ben-
efits of the Fusion pedestal described in this manual, please contact Vinten Radamec for further
details.
• The easy switch over to manual, provides all the attributes expected from a Vinten pedestal, with
perfect balance column, crab and steering modes, and smooth vertical motion found in the Quartz
pedestals.
• The electronics and power modules in the base allow for easy replacement and bench mainte-
nance.
• The simple cabling using standard ethernet and mains connectors have been used with local
availability in mind and ease of integration.
The additional mains socket on the power module allows for powering the prompter, without adding more pow-
er cables to the pedestal.
