Setting the pedestal number

Each pedestal in a system is uniquely identified so that when a pedestal channel is selected at the control pan-
el, communication is established with the correct channel. This identification is configured at the factory, but
may be re-assigned later if required. Please refer the Fusion FP-145/FPH-145 Pedestal Maintenance Manual
(Publication Part No. V3952-4991) for further detail.

Switching on

When the complete system is ready, ensure that all external cable connections are complete, observe the
height and steering mode knob settings (25, 11) and turn on the power switch (21). The pedestal will not sud-
denly move when switched on.

Referencing the studio datum position

To maintain positional accuracy within the studio it is necessary to periodically reference the absolute datum—
a target permanently fixed to the studio floor.

.

For detail on referencing the studio datum please refer to the Vinten Radamec Control System Operators Guide
(Publication Part No. V4009-4980) for instructions.
