If you want to remove this database, move the cursor to the Create option field and press “D”. Otherwise,
you can usually accept the default settings by simply pressing ESC to return to the

SVM Settings Menu

, or

press F1 for help on any entry field.

RAID Devices

When selecting this menu option, you are provided a list of existing RAID meta-devices and an option to
add a new meta-device:

Select Add New to create a new RAID meta-device, or use the arrow keys to select a line containing an
existing device and press Enter. If creating a new meta-device, a new record is created with default
settings, including setting the type to RAID 0. You can change the RAID type by selecting either RAID 1
(mirrored) or RAID 5 (parity) in the RAID Type field on the screen. The following is an example of each
RAID type:

RAID 0 (striped): This is the default when creating a new RAID meta-device. When creating a new
device, selecting an existing RAID 0 device, or when changing the RAID type of a previous RAID
device, a screen similar to the following will appear:
